Rainy Patio
An animated loop I made as a personal project, to help cope with the notorious Portland rain. This started as a charcoal sketch on a rainy day in 2023, while I was sitting in front of my door watching the gloomy rain pour outside onto my patio. In fall of 2025, I found this sketch and decided to refine and animate it. Using fine charcoal textures and my favorite palette of primaries, I set out to depict the feeling of being warm and cozy indoors while the shimmering rain and stormy wind made my plants come alive. Tools used: Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, and After Effects.
